About Our Storage (Custom Order)
Custom storage is the answer when the storage demand is shaped differently from any stock cabinet. The three most common drivers: wall length — a 7 m wall in a finance department can hold 30+ linear metres of file storage if built-in, but only 4 m if you line up stock cabinets with gaps between. The custom unit fits floor-to-ceiling with no dead space, doubles capacity, and looks deliberate. Awkward geometry — under-stair triangles, under-mezzanine wedges, alcoves with services running through them; stock cabinets cannot follow the shape so the space goes unused. Secure archive needs — for HR, legal, finance, or clinical records, you need lockable compartments at scale (50+ doors with central key control, motion-sensor lighting when a door opens, audit log of access). Stock cabinets cap out around 10 locking compartments. Our process: site survey + brief → CAD design → quote → factory build → install. How is custom storage priced?
Pricing is per linear metre of finished wall storage, multiplied by complexity factor (open shelving cheapest, closed-door medium, locked-compartment / integrated-tech highest). Can you integrate locks across many compartments?
Yes — central-key systems with 1 key for the whole wall, sub-master keys per department, and individual key per compartment are all standard. For sensitive archives we offer electronic / RFID locks with access-log integration.
Do you build storage for non-square rooms?
Yes — bespoke storage is most often commissioned exactly because the room is non-square. Under-stair, under-mezzanine, alcove, and irregular-angle walls are all in scope. Send a site sketch with measurements and our designers will produce a CAD layout.
What is the lead time for a custom storage wall?
Typical: 1-2 weeks design + CAD + sign-off, 2-3 weeks factory build, 2-5 days install (depending on wall length and lock-system complexity). Total 4-6 weeks. Larger projects (15+ m walls or full archive rooms) may run 7-8 weeks.
